Complete your handmade or specialty candles with quality candle labels. Stand out from the rest with beautiful packaging featuring labels of your design. These labels can be applied to candle jars, boxes, and other containers. You can use them to make your candles ready for market. They make memorable and personalized gifts for birthdays, weddings, or holidays!
The process of making candle labels can seem a bit difficult at first, which is why we've broken it down into five easy steps:
- Choose your label shape and size
- Choose your materials
- Design your tags
- Add warning labels
- Print the finished labels

Step 1: Choosing a Label Shape and Size
When creating any product label, you must ensure the label's shape and size are appropriate for your intended application. We recommend first deciding on your product container and then working from there. Once you have obtained the container, you can measure the label area on it to determine the most appropriate label shape and size. Once this information is received, you can shop by shape or size to find the correct label! If your container has a unique or unusual shape, we also offer custom cut-size labels to fit any need.

Step 2: Select Material
After determining the shape and size of the label, you can decide on the material. The following two are our most popular materials:
- Indoor label materials
These adhesives are for minimalist, eco-friendly brands that want to retain the natural texture of the paper. Yes, you can use paper adhesives for candle labels, but keep in mind that these options are not waterproof and are not wax-resistant.
White stickers are our multi-purpose indoor material. The surface can be written on with a permanent pen or marker. Add a matte, gloss, or high gloss UV coating for extra protection.
White premium sticker paper is our most popular interior material. This pressure-sensitive adhesive paper has a smooth, semi-gloss finish, but you can add a gloss or matte laminate.
Estate Sticker Paper is an uncoated labeling material widely used for its elegance and texture. Add a matte UV coating to make it scratch and moisture-resistant.
- Waterproof Label Material
If you need durable and long-lasting labels, we highly recommend these adhesives because they are waterproof and heat-resistant. They can come into contact with oil, candle wax, and water without altering your design.
White vinyl is our most challenging label material. It has a UV-resistant, high-gloss finish, which makes the surface extra shiny and waterproof. This material is perfect for products exposed to heat and the elements.
BOPP (bi-oriented polypropylene) is a glossy laminated self-adhesive material made from a plastic-like material. It is tear-resistant and waterproof, ideal for items exposed to water, oil, and moisture. Available in transparent, white, and metallic silver.

Step 3: Design Label
You can send us your designed label file or your labeling needs, and we help you prepare for free until you are satisfied!

Step 4: Add Warning Labels
While it's vital to design labels that are eye-catching and aesthetically pleasing, you also need to be sure to add any fine print or safety information you need. For candles, this means including safe burning instructions and "burn at eye level" warnings. Often, candle manufacturers choose to include this information on a separate label attached to the back or bottom of the candle.

Step 5: Print Labels
When printing your finished labels, you can choose to print your labels at home or professionally with a custom print order. Both methods are effective and produce high-quality labels, especially when using our premium materials. For larger quantities and custom orders, we recommend choosing the professional printing option. The printing experts at Label Printing China will deliver quality labels that will get your candles snapped up!

Candle Labeling Requirements
What should be on a candle label? If you sell candles as retail consumer products, verify your labeling information under the Fair Packaging and Labeling Act before you begin printing.
In general, your primary candle label should contain the following information:
A statement identifying the item (e.g., candle, soy wax candle)
Brand name (including manufacturer's name and address)
The net content of contents (weight, size, or quantity)
Contact information and website
Candle manufacturers must also affix warning labels. These are usually located on the bottom of the jar or canister. According to the National Candle Association, your warning labels should contain the following fire safety information:
- Burn within sight.
- Keep away from combustible materials.
- Stay away from children.
You can also add more accurate information about safely burning your candle products.
